The Effectiveness of Bingo Game in Increasing Vocabulary Mastery at 4th Grade of MI Ma'arif NU Cipete Cilongok Banyumas Regency



This research aims to test the effectiveness of the Bingo Game as a learning media on increasing students’ vocabulary mastery in 4th MI Ma'arif NU Cipete Cilongok, Banyumas regency. One of the school still uses the lecture method so that students easily forget and get bored with learning. Therefore, teaching techniques that are challenging and fun for students are needed. Games are fun for elementary school students, therefore this study want to test their effectiveness. The research population consisted all of 4th grade students at MI Ma'arif NU Cipete Cilongok, Banyumas Regency. To collect data, pre-test, treatment and post-test. Independent samples t-test was used to assess the data. The results of hypothesis testing indicate an influence between the experimental class and the control class. This is evidenced by the significance value of the independent sample t-test (2-tailed) in the Equal Variances Assumed column, which is 0.013 < 0.05. Based on the decision criteria of the Independent Sample T-test, it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, while the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This confirms that the Bingo game has a positive impact on students’ vocabulary mastery. Utilizing the Bingo game as a learning media can enhance students' vocabulary skills while making the learning process more engaging and memorable.
