The formation of religious character plays an important role in educating a generation with noble character who is able to face moral challenges in the modern era. Many schools face difficulties in instilling religious values effectively, either due to limited methods or a lack of teacher role models. In fact, religious character education should be a priority to create students who are not only academically intelligent but also behave according to religious teachings. Therefore, this study examines strategies for developing religious character at Ma’had Al Faruq Salafiyah Ula and SD Negeri 1 Jipang, focusing on the application of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects through the concept of habituation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and school principals, as well as documentation of religious activities. The study refers to the concepts of Moral knowing, Moral feeling, and Moral action, as well as Ibnu Miskawaih’s theory of habituation, which emphasizes continuous good behavior practices to instill moral character. The results show that Ma’had Al Faruq Salafiyah Ula applies a boarding system emphasizing worship habituation, teacher role modeling, and strong social interactions to strengthen students’ religious character. Meanwhile, SD Negeri 1 Jipang implements strategies through teacher role modeling, daily worship habituation, and the integration of Islamic values in school activities. In conclusion, effective religious character formation must integrate the aspects of knowledge, feeling, and action in a balanced way through continuous habituation.
