THE EFFECT OF GENIALLY AS LEARNING MEDIA ON STUDENTS' READING COMPREHENSION AT 11TH GRADE IN SMK YPT 1 PURBALINGGA
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effect of using interactive Power Point and
interactive quizzes from Genially equipped with interactive navigation buttons to
support students' reading comprehension. The population of this research was all 11th
grade students at SMK YPT 1 Purbalingga, and the samples consisted of Class XI TKJ
I as the experimental group and Class XI TEI as the control group. A quasi-
experimental design was applied, using pre-test and post-test instruments, cach
containing 20 multiple-choice questions. The experimental group was taught using
Genially-based media, while the control group used traditional media. The data were
analyzed using SPSS. The results showed that the experimental group achieved higher
post-test scores, with an N-Gain mean score of 0.4958, which is categorized as
moderate (0.30-0.70). A significant difference was found between the two groups, as
indicated by the 2-tailed significance value of 0.008 (< 0.05). These findings suggest
that Genially is an effective digital learning media on students' reading comprehension.
