AT- AT-TAKĀMUL KONSEPTUALISASI PENDIDIKAN DALAM TAKAYYUFI PONDOK DI BERAGAMA MODERASI BERJAN AN-NAWAWI PESANTREN PURWOREJO



Pondok pesantren play an important role in
maintaining a moderate and tolerant Islamic tradition in
Indonesia. However, the negative stigma related to
radicalization and terrorism, especially in the Islamic
context, creates challenges for these institutions. This
dissertation aims to formulate the concept of Religious
Moderation Education at An-Nawawi Berjan Purworejo
Islamic Boarding
School,
using
a qualitative-
phenomenological approach to explore the experiences of
the pesantren community and units under the An-Nawawi
Foundation in responding to religious moderation.
The qualitative-phenomenological method was
used to explore the experiences of research subjects,
including their attitudes, actions, and motivations in the
context of religious moderation. This research involved
the community of Pondok Pesantren An-Nawawi Berjan
Purworejo and units under the foundation, focusing on
how they internalize the principles of moderation through
four indicators in the pesantren and school environment.
The results showed that An-Nawawi Islamic
Boarding School succeeded in internalizing the value of
nationality and nationalism through the Adiwiyata
program, which teaches students to love the country and
preserve the environment. In addition, the tolerance
applied in the pesantren strengthens interpersonalix
relationships between students and creates harmonious
social cohesion. The anti-violence policy implemented
also focuses on dialog and empathy development, forming
the character of peaceful and just santri. Based on the
results of the analysis of the four indicators of religious
moderation, the concept of religious moderation
education at Pesantren An-Nawawi Purworejo focuses on
incorporating the values of nationality, tolerance, non-
violence, and respect for local culture in religious
education. The concept of religious moderation education
is built on two main principles, namely at-takāmul
Therefore, (integration) and at-takayyufi (adaptive).
further research is needed to examine other indicators that
may play a role in religious moderation education.
